As international association, WTA e.V. aims to supportand integrate research especially focused on new developments and moderntechnology in the field of built heritage through the stimulation of anintensive dialogue between scientists and practitioners.
To achieve this goal, WTA e.V. organizes yearly aninternational colloquium on a specific theme.

WTA-International has the honor to announce and invite you to  

WTA-2010 Colloquium: Effect of Climate Change on Built Heritage.
March 11-12,2010

Climate change is the key topic of the 21thcentury. A changing climate certainly influences the performance of culturalheritage. Knowledge of the effect of climate change on culturalheritage is inevitable for the development of effective strategies for along-term preservation.
Experts from severalEuropean countries will illustrate their experience within the followingtopics: 
1. climatic change and built heritage – generalapproach
2. impact of climate change on materials and buildingconstructions
3. impact of climate change on the indoor environment
4. modelling of climate change effects
The colloquium language is preferably English.
