The Raymond Lemaire International Centre for Conservation (KU Leuven) organized a Thematic Week on preventive conservation, maintenance and monitoring of the monuments and sites as a result of the recent PRECOM³OS UNESCO Chair prolongation.


The goal of the Thematic Week was to examine the ongoing research and polemics on preventive conservation. Presently there are valuable and promising examples of preventive conservation of built cultural heritage that demonstrate the viability of this approach on local and international scale.
